Anesthesiologist opportunity in northern New Jersey with Overlook Medical Center—nationally recognized. Overlook Medical Center is a 350-bed hospital in Summit, NJ, that offers a wide array of advanced services, including neurodiagnostic, neurological, and neurosurgical services. This site features a certified Level IV Epilepsy Center and is a hub for the New Jersey Stroke Network and a regional leader in neuroscience care through its Atlantic Neuroscience Institute. Also on campus is The Gerald J. Glasser Brain Tumor Center, where medical experts are performing the most brain tumor surgeries in New Jersey. Responsibilities include assisting in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department, medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures, pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring of the patient's physiological condition, and performance of clinical intervention as needed. Requirements include M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine, ECFMC and FLEX, completion of approved residency in anesthesia, and current physician license. The anesthesia team is supportive, promoting mentorship, professional growth, and collaboration in a care team model that values every voice and supports care excellence.
