Job summary

Montefiore Department of Anesthesiology seeks a dedicated Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia services at St. John’s Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, NY, spanning OR and non-OR areas with obstetric coverage.

The role includes day shifts and in-house/beeper call to maintain 24/7 coverage, with compensation packages featuring base salary, call pay, sign-on and productivity bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Completion of Anesthesia Residency required.
• Board eligible/board certified in Anesthesiology preferred.
• NYS medical license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality anesthesia services for a broad range of surgical specialties.
• Deliver anesthesia in operating rooms and non-OR locations (e.g., endoscopy).
• Provide comprehensive obstetric anesthesia coverage, including labor analgesia and C-sections.
• Perform pre-op evaluations and manage intraoperative and postoperative care.
• Participate in emergency airway management, rapid responses, and code team duties.
• Support in-house call and beeper call rotation for 24/7 hospital coverage.
• Oversee CRNA teams (supervision of 3–4 rooms).
