Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a locum tenens surgeon for a 7am–5pm, Monday–Friday schedule in New Orleans, LA. The assignment includes full-scope coverage in general surgery, neuro, ortho, ENT, and urology with a Level I trauma center setting. Expect 90% adult and 10% pediatric cases and no on-call requirements.

ACLS certification is required and travel plus housing expenses are prepaid. Malpractice insurance is provided, with dedicated Weatherby consultants available 24/7.

Qualifications

• Full-scope general surgery coverage across general, neuro, ortho, ENT, and urology.
• Level I trauma center experience required.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope surgical coverage 7am–5pm, Monday–Friday.
• Participate in trauma and acute care at a Level I center.
• Manage adult and pediatric patients (90% adults, 10% pediatrics).
