Job Description Summary:

Administers anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, monitors vital signs, and adjusts anesthesia levels as necessary.

Essential Functions:

  1. Administers anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  2. Monitors patients' vital signs and adjusts anesthesia levels as needed.
  3. Collaborates with surgeons and other medical professionals to develop an anesthesia plan for each patient.
  4. Provides pre-operative consultations to patients to discuss anesthesia options and potential risks.
  5. Documents patients' medical histories and anesthesia administration details.
  6. Responds to emergencies during surgical procedures, such as cardiac arrest or respiratory distress.

Education Requirement: ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology, required.

Licensure Requirement: Not specified.

Certifications: Board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology, pediatric anesthesiology, and pain medicine, required.
