Job summary

Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join our academic VA practice in Middle Tennessee, affiliated with Vanderbilt University Medical Center. You will deliver routine and complex anesthesia care, participate in regional anesthesia, and contribute to patient safety and outcomes in a large veteran population.

Eligible candidates can access the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).

Qualifications

• United States citizenship or eligible per VA policy.
• MD/DO from an approved medical school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility.
• Board certification may be required for faculty status.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for routine and complex cases, including general and regional anesthesia.
• Place central venous access and arterial lines; monitor hemodynamics.
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and complex airway situations.
• Assess, consult and prepare patients for anesthesia; participate in preop evaluations.
