• The Anesthesia Department manages the OR schedule, providing the necessary structure for a smooth, efficient workday

• 4-6 Weeks of vacation time

• 5 Personal days per year

Comprehensive Compensation and Benefits

• Above industry average salary - $525K to $575K total compensation

• $25K Starting Bonus and $25K Retention Bonus after one year

• $15K Quality/Citizenship Bonus available yearly

• Malpractice/Liability Insurance, including tail coverage

• Guthrie retirement savings plan (403B) with employer match (1/2 of the first 6% that you invest) and (1-3.5%) age-based contributions

• Allowance for licensure fees, DEA certificate, and renewals

• $10,000 referral bonus if you refer a physician that we hire on a full-time basis - $20K if your referral is another Anesthesiologist

• Meeting time – 14 days with options for home study

• Annual reimbursement for conference registration, certifications, and membership fees for specialty-specific medical societies

• Guthrie has seven residency programs, including the Anesthesiology Residency. Guthrie is a regional campus of the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
