Job summary

CentralCare Inc. is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join BAMC in San Antonio, TX. This civilian contractor role (1099) supports a Level I Trauma Center with a large patient load and complex cases.

You will deliver anesthesia across diverse surgical procedures, collaborate with CRNAs and residents, and participate in credentialing and ongoing medical education. A Texas license, ABA board certification, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Anesthesiology.
• Active Texas medical license; licensing assistance available.
• Current DEA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care across a wide range of procedures.
• Monitor and manage patients through all perioperative phases.
• Collaborate with CRNAs, residents, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams.

This is a civilian contractor role (1099) supporting service members, veterans, and their families. No military service is required.

Position Details

• Type: Full-Time | PRN | 1099
• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts (Full Time = 4 shifts per week)
• In House Call: 4 p.m. – 7 a.m. (2–4 shifts monthly)
• Contract Length: 1-year, renewable
• Compensation: Hourly (2025 increased rates)
• Malpractice: Provided (1M/3M occurrence)
• Credentialing: 45–60 days

What You’ll Bring

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
• Board Certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology
• Active Texas medical license (licensing assistance available)
• Current DEA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)
• Strong clinical anesthesia experience within hospital or surgical settings
• Commitment to excellence, professionalism, and patient safety
• (Bonus) Experience teaching or mentoring anesthesia residents
