Role Description This full-time, on-site Anesthesiologist role is based in Fresno, CA. The Anesthesiologist will provide safe and effective anesthesia care for a variety of surgical and procedural cases, including preoperative evaluation, intraoperative management, and postoperative assessment. Daily responsibilities include developing anesthesia plans, monitoring patients’ vital signs, managing airways, administering medications, and responding to emergent situations. The role involves close collaboration with surgeons, nursing staff, and other clinicians to optimize patient comfort, pain control, and overall outcomes. The Anesthesiologist will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, adhere to regulatory and hospital policies, and contribute to a culture of patient-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical expertise in Anesthesiology with the ability to manage diverse surgical and procedural cases.
  • Foundational knowledge in Medicine relevant to perioperative care, including cardiology, pulmonology, and pharmacology.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Critical Care Nursing teams in managing high-acuity and post-anesthesia care patients.
  • Experience working alongside Surgery teams to coordinate anesthesia plans and support operative workflows.
  • Proficiency in Pain Management techniques, including acute and perioperative pain control strategies.
  • Current MD or DO degree, completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency, and board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
  • Unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in California and current ACLS/BLS certifications; PALS preferred.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills, with a commitment to patient safety and ethical practice.
  • Ability to work on-site in a high-volume environment, adapt to changing clinical needs, and participate in call coverage as required.
