Job summary

Suzanne Snell Human Resources & Recruiting seeks an Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia services in a VA hospital in Albany, NY. This locum tenens position supports a diverse patient population with a 12-month term and renewal options.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Board certification/eligibility, current license, DEA, and VA credentialing readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree (MD or DO)
• 1+ year of Anesthesiology experience
• 1+ year of Credentialing experience
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Current, unrestricted medical license
• Valid DEA registration
• Current BLS certification: AHA BLS or ARC BLS
• Current Advanced Life Support certification: AHA ACLS, ARC ALS, or ATLS
• Ability to meet VA credentialing, privileging, and background requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services in a VA hospital setting for a diverse patient population
• Meet VA credentialing and privileging requirements
• Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure safe anesthesia care
• Carry a schedule with defined hours and potential rotation as needed
