Job summary

Suzanne Snell is seeking a qualified Anesthesiologist to provide anesthesia services in a VA hospital setting in Albany, NY. This locum tenens position covers a 12-month term with renewal options, starting November 1, 2026.

The role requires MD/DO, state license, board status, DEA, BLS and ACLS/ATLS, plus credentialing experience to meet VA requirements. Schedule is Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:30 PM with occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree (MD or DO) required.
• 1+ year of Anesthesiology experience.
• 1+ year of Credentialing experience.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Current, unrestricted medical license.
• DEA registration is required.
• BLS certification required (AHA BLS or ARC BLS).
• Advanced Life Support certification (ACLS/ALS or ATLS) required.
• VA credentialing and background requirements must be met.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate degree (MD or DO)
• 1+ year of Anesthesiology experience
• 1+ year of Credentialing experience
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Current, unrestricted medical license
• Valid DEA registration
• Current BLS certification: AHA BLS or ARC BLS
• Current Advanced Life Support certification: AHA ACLS, ARC ALS, or ATLS
• Ability to meet VA credentialing, privileging, and background requirements

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Some rotation for weekday, night, weekend, and holiday coverage as required
