Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing seeks a board-certified Anesthesiologist for locum coverage in Belfast, ME. Provide anesthesia services for general, obstetric, regional cases and perform nerve blocks, epidural and spinal techniques as required.

Work independently without CRNA supervision and coordinate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal analgesia. Coverage ASAP - ongoing, Mon-Fri 7a-3:30p with night call every third night and one weekend per month.

Qualifications

• Board-certified anesthesiologist in good standing.
• Active Maine license or IMLC eligibility.
• Credentialing within 60–90 days.
• EMR/EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for general surgical, obstetric, and regional anesthesia cases.
• Perform nerve blocks, epidural, spinal, and regional anesthesia techniques.
• Manage acute pain and hemodynamics; monitor and respond to intraoperative issues.
• Work independently without CRNA supervision and coordinate with surgical teams; participate in call schedule.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage acute pain and evaluate/manage acute volume/BP issues. Work independently without CRNA supervision (physician does own cases). Participate in call schedule: weeknight every third night (7a-4pm) and weekend one per month (24-hour call).
