Job summary

Gentle Care Animal Hospital in Raleigh, NC seeks an anesthesia veterinary technician to support veterinarians, ensure patient safety, and educate clients. You will assist with surgeries, monitor anesthesia, maintain medical records, and uphold clean, sterile treatment areas within Thrive Pet Healthcare.

Qualifications

Veterinary technician licensure preferred.
1-2 years of clinical and anesthetic experience.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred, or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate clients.
Assist with surgeries and procedures and maintain patient flow.
Communicate with clients about pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options.
Maintain comprehensive medical records and obtain health histories.
Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
Mentor and support fellow team members.

Skills

Veterinary licensure preferred

Anesthesia experience

Clinical experience 1-2 years

Education

AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program degree preferred
