Job summary

St. David's Round Rock Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia and surgical teams.

You will help prepare equipment, transport carts, assist with patient transfers, and ensure a safe, clean operating room environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient privacy, and quick, confident responses to emergencies, with a focus on infection control and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Anesthesia Tech experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• High School Graduate or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need.
• Set up, transport, and maintain anesthesia carts and equipment to keep supplies clean and ready for safe use.
• Assist patients with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices.
• Act quickly and confidently in case of emergencies.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection prevention and safety practices.
• Communicate openly with patients, families, and the team while protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights.
