Job Summary
Provides support to the anesthesia care team to assist with patient care responsibilities, including anesthesia equipment cleaning, maintenance, troubleshooting, OR cleaning and turnover, and supply management in coordination with materials management.
Essential Functions

Clean and maintain anesthesia carts, machines, and other equipment, including fiberoptic bronchoscopes and laryngoscopes.
Stock supplies and manage inventory; inform supervisor of inappropriate supplies. May initiate emergency resolution.
Respond to needs of anesthesia practitioners for supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals, etc., and respond to emergency calls in any OR.
Sterilize or disinfect equipment such as laryngoscope blades, fiberoptic bronchoscopes, and others as needed. Initiate repairs with Clinical Engineering and troubleshoot equipment prior to repair requests.
Assist with room turnover by cleaning and setting up supplies for the next case while staff transfer patients to recovery.
Prioritize and problem-solve work proactively to meet the needs of practitioners and patients.
Maintain a clean and organized environment, including proper disposal of trash, linen, and supplies.
Assist in patient care as needed, regardless of department assignment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibility
This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent, or post-high school education/higher degree.
No experience required; up to 12 months of job-related coursework (e.g., Anesthesia Technician) preferred.
