Job summary

UPMC St. Margaret is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and assist with turnover of operating rooms between cases. You will ensure accurate closing and restocking for the next day, working with CRNAs, anesthesiologists, nurses, and administration.

The role requires formal Anesthesia Technician training; prior experience is preferred but not required. Shifts are 8 hours, 10:30am–7:00pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional cross-site coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Assist with turnover of operating rooms between cases.
• Accurately close and restock rooms for the next day.
• Transport anesthesia machines and supplies to and from OR areas.
• Assist with offsite anesthesia cases when needed.
• Support anesthesia staff and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Assist with pre, intra and post-operative placement of monitoring lines.
• Maintain records and reports related to equipment and supplies.
