Job Description:

The Anesthesia Technician functions under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist, CRNA or Registered Nurse and performs delegated functions. Provides safe, effective cleaning of all equipment in compliance with safety and infection control standards. Assumes responsibility to order and prepare supplies and equipment as needed by the Anesthesiologist for surgical procedures, observes Universal Precautions and is responsible for meeting the Standards of Care. Patient age may be from neonate to geriatric.


Qualifications

Shift: PART TIME VARIED

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:

Minimum two years anesthesia or critical care background.

Technical Skills:

Ability to operate or ability to learn to operate equipment used in performing job responsibilities.

License/Certification:

BLS required.

Other:

Knowledge of medical terminology.
