Essential Functions

• Collaborate with the anesthesia care team to prepare and set up equipment and supplies required for anesthesia administration during surgical procedures.
• Assist in patient positioning, monitoring vital signs, and administering anesthesia-related interventions as directed by the anesthesia provider.
• Prepare and maintain anesthesia workstations, including anesthesia machines, monitors, ventilators, and other specialized equipment.
• Ensure the availability, functionality, and proper calibration of anesthesia equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during procedures.
• Work closely with operating room staff, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to marking room operations, inventory, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Associate's Degree Related Field of Study required.

• Licenses and Credentials Experience: Anesthesia Technician Experience 2-3 years required.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Extensive knowledge of anesthesia procedures, pharmacology, and patient monitoring techniques.
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols and safety practices in the operating room environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the anesthesia care team, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
