GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Assists anesthesia personnel with the preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment used during peri-operative procedures.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provides technical support to anesthesia personnel during the preparation and insertion of specialized invasive monitoring equipment. (30%)
  2. Ensures all anesthetizing locations are ready for procedures. (30%)
  3. Maintains cleanliness and organization of the Anesthesia workroom. (15%)
  4. Manages equipment, supplies, and medications according to guidelines to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. (15%)
  5. Participates in hospital, division, and department activities. (10%)
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

  • Graduate of an Anesthesia Technician program.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience as an anesthesia technician.
