Responsibilities

• Ensure anesthesia carts are supplied and machines are in each room prior to surgery and between procedures.
• Check and replace anesthesia gas tanks as needed.
• Retrieve special anesthesia supplies anticipated by the anesthesia provider before and during surgery.
• Prepare complex equipment and supplies for hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ensure monitoring equipment and supplies are ready and the anesthesia machine is ready for use, including troubleshooting.
• Perform daily anesthesia equipment inspections (suction, electrical plugs, gas connections, oxygen, nitrous oxide cylinders).
