Located in the central San Joaquin Valley, Adventist Health Selma has been serving the Central Valley since 1999. We are comprised of a 57-bed acute care hospital and six local medical offices. Job Summary

Responsible for daily maintenance of anesthesia machines and related equipment. Assists anesthesia staff with pressure line insertion procedures. Maintains adequate inventory of anesthesia-related supplies. Performs routine clinical tasks of limited complexity under direct supervision within defined parameters.

Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Completion of medical terminology course: Preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare setting: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Anesthesia Technician certification: Preferred
  • CPR or BLS certification: Required
Essential Functions
  • Operates autoclaves and cleaning equipment according to established policies.
  • Assembles pressure line insertion and monitoring supplies; assists physicians during line insertions; troubleshoots patient monitoring equipment intraoperatively.
  • Tests, stocks, and calibrates patient monitoring equipment daily, including capnography monitors, emergency airway carts, laryngoscopes, blades, and pediatric carts.
  • Collaborates with staff, supervisors, and vendors to ensure product quality while minimizing costs.
  • Makes routine decisions regarding own work; escalates significant issues to senior staff.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
