Job description

Position Title: Anesthesia Technician - Full Time Days 5:30AM-2:00PM M-F, Weekend Nights - Full Time

Location: Bell Hospital

Position Summary / Career Interest: Under the direction of the Anesthesia Technician Manager, this position is responsible for providing quality customer care. The Technician will assist anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and OR staff in patient care and support as ordered by the attending surgeon, anesthesiologist, or perfusionist.

Hours: 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
  1. Perform procedures, record, analyze, and diagnose physiological monitoring functions using various devices and techniques.
  2. Manage inventory levels and supply costs, supporting cost-containment strategies.
  3. Demonstrate competencies in procedures involving:
  • Invasive monitoring devices: calibration and troubleshooting
  • Arterial line setup
  • PA catheters setup and assistance
  • Cardiac Output monitors setup and assistance
  • ECG attachment and troubleshooting
  • POC testing
  • Autologous Blood Recovery System
  • Directional Doppler
  • Other relevant equipment
  • Maintain Procedural Database.
  • Follow Infection Control Guidelines for equipment maintenance, cleaning, and timely changes of indwelling lines and catheters.
  • Perform professional, clinical, and technical competencies as required by the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Required Education and Experience
    • High School Graduate
    Preferred Education and Experience
    • Associate of Science
    • One or more years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician or in perioperative/procedural clinical roles
    Required Licensure and Certification
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)
