Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking an Anesthesia Tech for evening shifts (1:00pm-9:30pm) with on-call requirements including rotating weekends and holidays. The role involves assisting during pre-, intra-, and post-operative procedures and maintaining anesthesia supply stations.

The position is full-time or part-time with 40 hours per week, requiring a high school diploma or associate degree and 1 year of related experience. Lifting and equipment handling are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or associate degree is required.
• 1 year of experience as Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or EMT; or an Associate’s degree with no clinical experience.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology; ability to lift/move heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures under supervision.
• Set up supplies and equipment for pre-procedure and room turnover.
• Audit, stock and maintain anesthesia supply stations; calibrate equipment; ensure sterilization and documentation.
• Provide basic equipment troubleshooting.
• Order supplies using the Lawson Material Management System.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Anesthesia Tech – Anesthesia Department - Evenings

Position Highlights:

• Position: Anesthesia Tech




• Location: Elmhurst, IL




• Full Time/Part Time: 40 hours per week




• Hours: Monday-Friday, 1:00pm-9:30pm, on call required including rotating weekends and holidays.




• On Call hours: on call 7 days per month, Monday-Thursday Overnights 9:30p-6:00am Fridays 9:30a-6:30a, Saturday 3:00pm-6:00am, Sunday 24 hours. Rotation to Saturdays approximately once per month. One Holiday call per year 24 hours.

What you will do:

• Under direction of supervisor, assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures




• Pre-operative, pre-procedure supply and equipment set-up and room turnover.




• Auditing, stocking and maintenance of anesthesia supply stations, calibration of POC equipment, high-level sterilization procedures and documentation




• Provide basic level equipment troubleshooting




• Order supplies via the Lawson Material Management System

What you will need:

• Education: High School Graduate or Associates Degree




• Certification: N/A




• Experience: High school Diploma with 1 year experience as either an Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or Emergency Medical Tech or Associate’s Degree if no clinical experience.




• Unique or Preferred Skills: Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. Ability to occasionally lift (patients and equipment), as well as push and/or pull heavy objects.
