Job summary

The Anesthesia Technician at Medical University of South Carolina supports licensed providers by preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred, with BLS competency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of direct patient care in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Anesthesia technician experience preferred; compliance with BLS and annual competencies mandatory.
• Ability to assist in acquisition, preparation, assembly, and application of anesthesia equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed anesthesia providers in preparation and maintenance of patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems.
• Assist in acquisition, preparation, assembly, and application of equipment and supplies for anesthesia administration.
• Perform technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist anesthesiologists, residents, and CRNAs across patient ages.
