Job summary

The Anesthesia Technician at Medical University of South Carolina assists licensed anesthesia providers in preparing and maintaining monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems. You will help assemble and apply equipment for anesthesia and support anesthesiologists, residents, and CRNAs across patient ages from infancy to geriatrics.

Eligibility includes a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred 1 year of direct patient care experience in a healthcare facility and familiarity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of direct patient care experience preferred in a healthcare setting.
• Anesthesia technician experience preferred; familiarity with anesthesia equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed anesthesia providers with preparation and maintenance of patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems.
• Assist in acquisition, preparation, assembly and application of equipment and supplies for anesthesia administration.
• Support attending anesthesiologists, residents and CRNAs during anesthetic procedures for patients of all ages.
