Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team and surgical staff. You will help keep equipment ready, assist with patient transfers, positioning and monitoring, and help create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.

Responsibilities include reviewing surgery schedules, setting up and maintaining anesthesia carts, and preserving infection prevention and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (ACLS optional) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need.
• Set up, transport, and maintain anesthesia carts and equipment to keep supplies clean and ready for safe use.
• Assist patients with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices.
• Act quickly and confidently if an emergency happens.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection prevention and safety practices.
• Communicate openly with patients, families, and the team while protecting patient privacy and rights.
