Job summary

USPI South Texas Specialty Hospital is seeking a motivated Anesthesia Tech to join our team. The role supports anesthesiologists and circulating nurses, ensuring supplies are available as needed.

The technician assists with airway management, IVs, and daily maintenance of anesthesia machines and carts, and responds to emergencies across departments. Position emphasizes patient positioning and teamwork in a busy surgical environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Completed Anesthesia Tech training or equivalent certification.
  • BLS certification required and up-to-date.
  • Two years' experience as Anesthesia Tech preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist anesthesia providers with airway management and IVs.
  • Respond to emergencies and assist in the OR.
  • Order, stock and maintain anesthesia supplies.
  • Maintain anesthesia machines and crash carts daily.

Job description

**USPI South Texas Specialty Hospital **is seeking a motivated Anesthesia Tech to join our team. We have 25 Beds and 8 OR rooms and 3 ER Rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Orthopedic, Spine.

Job Summary:

The Anesthesia Technician assists the anesthesiologist and the circulating nurse with the administration of anesthesia and assures that adequate supplies are available as needed.

Job Duties:

Assist anesthesia providers in the OR with airway management and IVs.
Respond and assist in emergencies.
Order, stock and maintain anesthesia supplies.
Maintain anesthesia machines, crash cart & malignant hyperthermia carts daily.
Respond to emergencies in other departments.
Assist in other departments as needed.
Assist with positioning patients for surgical procedures
