Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a dedicated anesthesia technician in Salisbury, NC to support the anesthesia team across procedures. The role is full-time with schedule options of 7am–3pm or 8am–4pm and requires strong sterilization, packing, and equipment readiness.

You will work closely with nursing staff, anesthesia colleagues, and off-site resources to ensure patient safety. Education required is a High School Diploma or GED, with 1 year of experience preferred and competency testing.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of previous experience preferred.
• Ability to complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; understands cleaning and disinfecting anesthesia equipment; inventory and ordering to meet demand.

What You’ll Do

• Assists the anesthesia team prior to, during, and after patient procedures in any location anesthesia is provided across Novant Health
• Proficient in sterilization, maintenance, packing, and resupply of the most complex anesthesia supplies and emergency equipment
• Has significant patient contact while assisting in procedures and works collaboratively with the anesthesia team, nursing staff, and off-site resources

What We’re Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: 1 year of Previous experience, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Understands and practices the importance of proper cleaning and disinfecting of anesthesia equipment; inventory and ordering ability in order to meet supply and demand; some knowledge of anesthesia equipment and medical terminology.
