Chippenham Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team and surgical staff in delivering safe patient care. You will prepare equipment, set up carts, and assist with maintaining supplies throughout the surgical journey.
You will help with transfers, positioning, and monitoring, respond to emergencies, and uphold infection control practices while safeguarding patient privacy and collaborating with patients, families, and the care team.

As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.
Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need
Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use
Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices
Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens
Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices
Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
High School Graduate / GED
Nursing assistant training or 6 months experience as a nursing assistant preferred
Previous experience in an operating room or hospital setting preferred.
