Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist the surgical team under the supervision of a perioperative nurse. You will prepare equipment, monitor lines, and assist with open supplies before procedures, contributing to a high-quality patient experience.

Minimum of 2 years in an OR setting or completion of an Anesthesia Technology Degree (substitution allowed). National Provider BLS is required at hire. This is a part-time role within our Portland campus.

• 2 years of clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room.
• Completion of Anesthesia Technology Degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Description

Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a registered perioperative nurse. The anesthesia technician supports the anesthesia providers by the preparation and set up of appropriate equipment and supplies for each surgical case. This includes connecting monitoring lines, preparing infusion sets, and operating all common physiological monitors. The incumbent must be able to apply several specialized tests. May provide limited patient care as needed by assisting with prepping and opening supplies before surgery.
