Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Nurses Aid I certificate listed with the Division of Facility Services.
• One year experience as a Nurse Aide I or a Central Sterile Supply Technician.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and all others using proper channels of communication.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the life span and provide age-specific care.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assists operating room personnel and anesthesia staff as assigned.
• Perform duties in the OR to support the surgical team and anesthesia personnel.

• The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/ area's/ department's policies and procedures.
