Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team in the Inpatient Operating Room and off-site locations. This role includes preparing carts, checking machines, and assisting before, during, and after procedures.

• Associate's degree preferred for anesthesia technologist.
• 1 year of experience in a medical setting preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required or obtained within 180 days.
• Ability to disassemble and disinfect anesthesia equipment and stock supplies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the anesthesia team before, during, and after procedures.
• Check and supply anesthesia carts and machines; replace gas tanks.
• Disassemble used anesthesia equipment; disinfect machines and carts.
• Prepare anesthesia supplies preoperatively and postoperatively; pack and inventory.

Full-time, 100% FTE, Evening shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 6:45AM- 3:15PM, with weekend rotation. Weekend shift required hours would be scheduled 7:00am - 7:30pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking an Anesthesia Tech to:

• Assist the anesthesia team prior to, during, and following patient procedures in the Inpatient Operating Room and all off-site locations.
• Check and supply anesthesia carts and machines, replace anesthesia gas tanks, disassemble used anesthesia equipment, disinfect machines, and supply carts, replace used products and prepare transducers for invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
• Assist with the preparation of anesthesia supplies both preoperatively and post operatively by cleaning, maintaining, packaging, ordering, and inventorying of anesthesia supplies.
• Demonstrate trust, respect, honesty, and caring attitudes with patients/families and other members of the health care team
