Job Summary:

Assists professional staff with setting-up, calibrating, disinfecting, and operating anesthesia equipment. Manages anesthesia supplies and equipment.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintains anesthesia machines and monitors, including changing cylinders and refilling gases.
• Assists in anesthesia equipment setup.
• Stocks and orders sterile supplies and anesthesia cart inventories.
• Ensures equipment functionality and compliance with infection control standards.
• Assists with operating room turnover, disinfecting surfaces and connecting anesthesia circuits.
• Works safely and performs additional duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.

Experience:

• No prior experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing, walking, frequent lifting, reaching, and gripping.
• Use of vision, depth perception, and color recognition.
• Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, and repetitive movements.
• Lifting objects up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Hearing and speech for communication; ability to detect odors.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS HCP) from the American Heart Association.
