Job summary

UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs is seeking an Anesthesia Support role. The position is onsite, with evenings, full-time schedule (80 hours per pay period).

You will assist licensed anesthesia providers with patient care and equipment handling, maintaining readiness and safety in a fast-paced setting. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification; at least 6 months healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR card must be valid through sixty days after hire.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Evenings

Pay: $20.26 - $26.34 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary

Assists licensed anesthesia provider with duties related to the care and monitoring of patients and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, sterilizes and sets up all types of anesthesia equipment.
• Assists anesthesia provider with monitoring, transport, positioning, insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management.
• Provides daily maintenance of all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Maintains a sufficient inventory of all equipment and supplies.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum Experience: 6 months of healthcare experience.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
