Job summary

BSA Health System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a day-shift, full-time Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia providers by preparing and maintaining equipment for procedures. You will assist during induction and recovery, ensuring readiness and safety in a busy surgical environment.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS, with preferred certifications and experience in healthcare or surgical settings to advance patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire/transfer and prior to direct patient care.
• Preferred: Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T. or Cer.A.T.T.).
• Preferred: Completion of the Anesthesia Technician training program.
• Preferred: One year of experience in a healthcare or surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• The Anesthesia Technician supports anesthesia providers in preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies for procedures.
• This includes setup, operation, cleaning, and troubleshooting of equipment, as well as assisting during induction and recovery phases.
• This role ensures readiness of equipment and supplies to maintain a safe and efficient surgical environment.
