Job summary

Upstate Medical University in New York is seeking an Anesthesia Technician and Perioperative Patient Care Associate to support anesthesiology teams in a busy OR and trauma environment.

You will prep and maintain the operating room, assist providers during procedures, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready for care. Rotating shifts include nights and weekends, with strong emphasis on teamwork and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in a health-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• BLS CPR certification.
• Demonstrated experience as part of a care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers during procedures and prepare the OR.
• Handle airway equipment and intubation support.
• Maintain anesthesia machines and perform safety checks before cases.
• Restock supplies and organize anesthesia equipment between cases.
• Support on-call, weekend, and emergency coverage as assigned.
• Monitor patient safety with monitoring and breathing equipment.
