Job summary

UHC United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support licensed anesthesia providers. You will prepare, aseptically handle, stock and clean anesthesia equipment, set up IV fluids, monitor devices, assist with intubations, and help ensure patient safety during perioperative care.

Qualifications include an Associate degree from an Anesthesiology Technology program, or a high school diploma with two years of direct patient care experience as an anesthesia assistant

Qualifications

• Associate degree from Anesthesiology Technology Program or equivalent.
• High School Diploma with two years direct patient care experience as anesthesia assistant or nursing assistant.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and spikes IV maintenance fluids; handles sterile anesthesia supplies.
• Prepares and monitors anesthesia equipment and tracking of supplies.
• Assists anesthesia providers with intubations and monitoring during procedures.
• Maintains proper storage, disposal, and cleaning of equipment; ensures safety.
