Job summary

BJC HealthCare’s Missouri Baptist Medical Center unit seeks an Anesthesia Technician for overnight shifts to support anesthesia providers during surgeries. You will prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, assist with line placements, and help with specialized procedures.

Responsibilities include processing specimens, performing EKGs, calibrating equipment, and ensuring readiness for patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. CNA/CPR certs are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years of related experience preferred.
• Anesthesia Technician, CNA, and CPR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares IV, central lines, and sets up transducers. Assists with rapid infusion of blood products, processes blood specimens, and completes EKG tests.
• Sets up, primes, and calibrates various equipment. Completes and documents quality checks on various equipment.
• Assists with special procedures to include, but not limited to, line-placement, fiber optic intubation, hemodilutions, echocardiograms, EEGs and regional anesthesia.

Anesthesia Technician (Overnight)

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM

Join our team as an Anesthesia Technician and play a vital role in supporting anesthesia providers during surgical and special procedures. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment, assisting with line placements and specialized procedures, processing specimens, performing EKGs, and ensuring all equipment is calibrated and ready for patient care.

Overview
