Job summary

Lexington Health in West Columbia, SC, is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologists across OR and OB locations. The role emphasizes maintaining anesthesia carts, machines, and work area, while ensuring safe, organized equipment handling.

On-site daytime coverage supports perioperative teams in a busy hospital environment. This full-time position requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and basic computer skills, with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Minimum Years of Experience: None.
CPR Certification (or completion within one year).
Required Training: Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Checks all OR rooms daily prior to OR starts for cleanliness and availability of essential equipment.
Cleans and checks anesthesia carts and machines daily, according to approved aseptic technique and equipment specifications.
Maintains the Anesthesia Work Room and keeps supplies in the proper location.
Coordinates with CRNAs and Anesthesiologists for emergency calls and schedule coordination.
Ensures equipment is cleaned, disinfected, and ready for use between cases.
Notifies supervisor of any equipment out of service and maintains documentation of activities.
