Job summary

Blessing Health System is seeking a position to assist perioperative nursing and anesthesia staff by performing supportive tasks in patient care under direct supervision. The role includes cleaning and caring for supplies, ordering and maintaining inventory, and serving patients from neonate to geriatric with awareness of developmental needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Medical Terminology course within 6 months.
• Minimum requirement of High School Diploma and minimum of 2 years in the Medical Field and/or similar area.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting professional perioperative nursing and anesthesia staff by performing supportive and complimentary tasks in patient care activities under direct supervision. The position performs routine duties in cleaning and caring for supplies, instruments and equipment, orders supplies as needed and maintains an accurate inventory. This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training/Experience

REQUIRED:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Medical Terminology course within 6 months.

Minimum requirement of High School Diploma and minimum of 2 years in the Medical Field and/or similar area.

PREFERRED

License/Certifications/Special Requirements

Certified Anesthesia Technician within 2 years of employment.

LPN, Paramedic/EMT, and/or Anesthesia Tech experience preferred

Non-Exempt Hourly
