Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Anesthesia Technician Assistant to join the anesthesia patient care team. Under supervision, you will assist licensed providers, prepare and maintain patient equipment, and support routine surgical cases across anesthesia locations.

Responsibilities include set up, stocking, cleaning equipment, and collaborating with the anesthesia team to ensure supplies are readily available. A high school diploma and being at least 18 years old are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required and at least 18 years of age.
• No professional licensure or certification required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with anesthesia case set up.
• Assist the Anesthesia Tech in setup of equipment and supplies according to the type of cases and ages of the patients.
• Consults with Anesthesia Techs for specific setup needs as necessary or requested in all anesthesia locations.
• Clean, stock, and maintain the routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Under the supervision of an Anesthesia Tech, cleans anesthesia machines and other anesthesia equipment after each case to meet target times.
• Stock anesthesia supplies before, during and after cases.
• Assist Anesthesia Technicians as requested, as long as within scope of practice.
• Interacts with the Anesthesia team to ensure that all anesthesia supplies are stocked and available in the most efficient and effective manner
• Other duties as needed.
• Incorporates LHMC Guiding Principles, Mission Statement and Goals into daily activities.
