Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. in Tulsa, Oklahoma seeks a full-time anesthesia support technician to assist anesthesiologists across operating room settings throughout the campus.

You will prepare and maintain anesthesia machines and equipment, assemble transducer lines and monitoring devices, stock supplies, and support the nursing team in patient care. A strong focus on confidentiality and communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience; 1 year in Surgical Service preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains anesthesia machines and equipment in Operating Room (OR).
• Prepares and assembles transducer lines and monitoring equipment as necessary.
• Cleans and decontaminates anesthesia machine, equipment and supplies after procedures.
• Stocks anesthesia machines, drugs, trays, materials, supplies, and gases for daily use.
• Makes rounds to assist anesthesiologist and nursing staff in patient care.
• Manages inventory and communicates supply needs per department protocol.
• Serves as a preceptor and assists in orientation for new personnel.
• Performs other duties in support of RN duties as assigned.
