Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System seeks an Anesthesia Equipment Technician to assist licensed anesthesia providers with supply preparation, equipment setup and maintenance, and to float as needed across departments. Responsibilities include preparing supplies, assisting with line placements, cleaning equipment, and troubleshooting monitors and machines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD).
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA).

Responsibilities

• Assists anesthesia provider in the preparation of supplies and maintenance of equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before/during/after anesthesia.
• Assists Anesthesiologist with the placement of the A-line / Central-line and maintaining sterility of the room.
• Cleans and sets up all types of anesthesia equipment.
• Floats to other departments as required (e.g., L&D, Cath Lab, MRI) in performing duties.
• Maintains a sufficient inventory of equipment and supplies; rotates stock to prevent expiration and ensure functionality.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Processes laryngoscopes, bronchoscopes, and glide scopes per manufacturers' recommendations.
• Provides daily maintenance of all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions including monitors and anesthesia machines; notifies service as appropriate.
