US Fertility in Rockville, MD seeks an Andrology Lab Tech to join the Shady Grove Fertility team. The role focuses on semen analysis, sample handling, and helping maintain accreditation while delivering reliable lab services.

Schedule is Mon–Fri with some weekend/holiday rotation. Compensation ranges from $25 to $32 per hour, commensurate with experience, with opportunities to grow within a nationally respected fertility network.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year laboratory experience.
• Experience with a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in biology or related field or MLT ASCP certification.
• Tissue culture experience and/or semen processing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shipping, receiving and disposition of frozen samples.
• Ordering and receiving lab supplies.
• Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis.
• Perform counts for concentration and motility and identify leukocytes morphology.
• Process semen for ART procedures and IUIs.
• Perform semen cryopreservation.
• Ensure proper sample collection, delivery and identification.
• Conduct daily/monthly quality control for media and equipment.
• Assist lab personnel to meet Federal, State, and local guidelines and accreditation.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an Andrology Lab Tech to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Rockville, Maryland.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM, with a weekend and holiday rotation
• Compensation: $25 to $32 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Andrology Lab Tech will:

• Shipping, receiving and disposition of frozen samples
• Ordering and receiving lab supplies
• Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis
• Perform counts for concentration and motility, perform histological techniques for identifying leucocytes, immature germ cells and morphology
• Process semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)
• Perform semen cryopreservation
• Assure proper sample collection, delivery and identification (chain of custody)
• Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology laboratory
• Assist laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditation
