The role focuses on building and maintaining automated test suites for Android apps and managing a physical Android device lab onsite. Ideal candidates will have extensive software engineering experience with test automation and proficiency in Android/Kotlin, C++, or other strongly-typed languages.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on test automation.
• 1+ years of experience with Android Test Automation, including provisioning and configuring physical devices.
• Ability to independently drive technical work and deliver value with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Android/Kotlin, C++, or other strongly-typed programming languages.
• Hands-on experience with device provisioning, on-device automation, and automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and expand automated test suites for Android applications to enhance reliability and product quality.
• Maintain and operate a physical Android device test lab, including device provisioning, configuration, and software updates.
• Partner with senior engineers to integrate tests within automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines, improving test reliability.
• Identify coverage gaps, contribute to test planning, and prioritize regression testing based on product telemetry and changes.
• Troubleshoot product and test issues by reproducing defects, analyzing logs, crash data, and telemetry, supporting release readiness.

• Experience with Android/Kotlin or C++ or other strongly typed languages - there will be a coding test, please ensure candidates have this skillset
