- You’ll work closely with Payments and Wallet engineering, Identity & Privacy, Profile & Community, and Guest & Host product, design, and data science partners as we stand up this team’s roadmap and technical foundations
- As a Software Engineer on the Android team within Passport & Commerce, you will build the Android experiences that bring various account features to life for millions of guests and hosts
- You’ll own well-scoped features from technical design through launch, working closely with your backend, iOS, and design counterparts
- Success in this role looks like shipping reliable, performant, and polished Android experiences that keep parity with our iOS and web surfaces, growing your ownership over time as the Android presence for this team expands, and becoming a dependable contributor the team can count on to deliver
- Design and build Android features using modern, declarative UI and unidirectional state architecture
- Partner with product and design to turn new concepts into polished, accessible Android experiences
- Collaborate with backend, iOS, and web engineers to keep feature behavior and data consistent across platforms
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code, and actively participate in code and design reviews
- Learn from and collaborate with senior engineers on the team, and contribute to shared Android patterns and best practices as the team scales
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance, and reliability issues affecting the Android app
