Job summary

Tinder is seeking an Android Software Engineer II for the Recs Experience team in Palo Alto, CA. You will help shape who Tinder members see, how recommendations appear, and how profiles turn into matches and conversations.

You will collaborate with backend engineers to deliver features end-to-end and grow expertise in Android architecture. The role is hybrid, based in Palo Alto in-office three days per week, with benefits including health coverage, 401(k) match, ESPP, parental leave, and Udemy

Qualifications

• Approximately 2+ years of professional experience building and shipping production Android apps.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development, including Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
• Experience building UIs with Jetpack Compose and familiarity with Android Views.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of consumer-facing recommendation features in the Tinder Android app.
• Build polished, intuitive experiences that connect recommendation logic, APIs, experiments, analytics, and quality validation for millions of members.
• Own well-scoped features and components from planning through launch validation.
