Job summary

Tinder is seeking a Software Engineer II for Android in the Recs Experience group, based in Palo Alto with hybrid in-office collaboration. You will build user-focused recommendation features, connect Android experiences with backend systems, and contribute to a collaborative, full-stack team improving discovery for millions of members worldwide.

You’ll work with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android tooling, aiming for high-quality, scalable experiences and responsible AI-assisted

Qualifications

• Proficient in Kotlin and modern Android development.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and Android Views interoperability.
• Familiar with REST APIs and Android networking tools.
• Strong knowledge of MVVM and clean architecture.
• Experience with Git workflows and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Build consumer-facing recommendation features in the Tinder Android app.
• Develop polished Android interfaces using Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and data teams to ship end-to-end features.
• Write tests and ensure app health, performance, and reliability.
• Contribute to modular architecture and engineering practices.
