Job summary

FastTek Global in Irvine, California is seeking a Software Engineer to help design and implement the next generation of platform services and Android-based capabilities. You will help re-architect components, create robust APIs/SDKs, and drive end-to-end integration across devices, apps and hardware environments.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Rust, TypeScript and Kotlin/Java.
• Deep knowledge of Android SDK/NDK/JNI and IPC.
• Proficient with AI-assisted software development and testing.
• Experience with C in Linux for real-time embedded software.
• Proficient in Linux environment and OSS development tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop platform services for major re-architecture of the software platform.
• Develop Android-based platform capabilities and APIs/SDKs for aircraft and platform services.
• Reverse-engineer and modernize existing platform behaviors as needed.
• Perform end-to-end integration across SDKs, services, hardware adapters, Android apps and aircraft interfaces.
• Build reusable test apps and automated build infra for nightly builds and integration tests.
• Collaborate across Android OS, middleware, platform services, hardware and validation teams to resolve dependencies.
