Job summary

PAX Technology, Inc. (North America) is seeking an Android Payment Application Developer to design, build, and maintain Android-based payment apps for PAX terminals. You will implement interfaces with Java/Kotlin, integrate with payment APIs and hardware, and ensure security and performance standards are met.

The role is on-site in our Jacksonville, FL office, Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable payment solutions and continuously

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing Android applications using Java and/or Kotlin.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain Android applications for payment terminals.
• Implement application features using Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, and vendor provided payment libraries.
• Integrate with payment hardware, card readers, PIN entry devices, printers, scanners, and other POS peripherals.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, UX designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software.
• Troubleshoot software defects, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for software design, implementation, and support.
• Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, security, and maintainability requirements.
• Deliver high-quality software solutions on schedule while meeting business and technical requirements.
• Build scalable, reliable, and secure Android payment applications.
• Continuously improve application performance, stability, and user experience.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and global teams to achieve project goals.
• Stay current with Android technologies, payment industry standards, and software
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, code quality, and team knowledge sharing.
