Android or iOS Developer

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an Android and/or iOS Developer.
• 3+ years of experience with Angular development.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies like Scrum.
• Experience collaborating directly with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining apps using Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with reactive programming, e.g., RxJava.
• Ability to create automated unit tests and ensure code quality.
• Experience with Jetpack libraries.
• Track record of launching native Android & iOS apps successfully.
• Knowledge of fragments, animations, threading, and latest Android SDKs.
• Experience in peer code reviews.
• Familiarity with Backbase platform and Fintech domain is a plus.

Nice to Haves

• Experience working with REST APIs.
• Interest in the latest Android technologies.
• Experience in financial services or professional services industries.

Additional Details

Location: 100% remote. Candidates outside Canada will work as independent contractors.

Compensation: CAD $90K-$120K annually, based on skills and experience. Outside Canada, the rate is hourly as contractors.
